Longcast Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Longcast mobile application ("App") operated by Longcast ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 12 years old to use Longcast. By using the App you represent that you are 12 or older.

2. Account

Longcast creates an anonymous account on your device (no email or password required). Your account is identified by a randomly generated UUID paired with a device secret stored in your iOS Keychain. You are responsible for keeping your device secure. We are not responsible for loss of access caused by device loss or factory reset (use the in-app device-transfer feature to migrate your account).

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

3.1 Auto-Renewing Subscriptions

Longcast may offer auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Turning off auto-renewal must be done at least 24 hours before the renewal date or the subscription period is final and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3.2 Refunds

All purchases are final. Refunds, if any, are governed exclusively by Apple's standard App Store refund policy. We have no ability to issue refunds directly.

3.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price change and given the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Display Names

You may choose a display handle (3 to 18 alphanumeric characters). Your handle is visible to other players on global and group leaderboards and on the catch feed.

You may report other users' display names or group names that violate these Terms using the in-app report function. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, graphics, game design, and fish database, is owned by Longcast and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

6. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM LOSS OF DATA.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account, which permanently removes your data from our servers.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Longcast is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
